ARE WE GOING TO WAR OR ELECTIONS, MR MATIANGI?

IS IT WAR OR ELECTIONS?
I have come to like the Real Donald Trump since he signed into law, a congress bill which passed sanctions on Russia for meddling in the American elections. Trump took this bold step on the backdrop of a diplomatic row, in which Russian foreign minister first talked about President Donald’s secret camera tape in a Moscow hotel. Even though Russia retaliated by flushing out 755 diplomatic personnel and seizing  two of Americas diplomatic properties, Real Donald still approved the bill by congress.
This emerging cold war between Russia and US hints of a third world war dynamite waiting to explode. Russia has more nuclear stock piles but the ones US is too much to finish Russia in the twinkle of an eye. The most fascinating thing though, is the situation in Kenya. The governments sent some hooded scoundrels, or were they “Wayahoody”, to vandalize and confiscate Nasa’s technology equipment in their parallel tallying centre. What kind of a regime is this which still exercises autocratic powers? Are we under anarchy? Yes!
In the words of Patrick Lumumba, “Election in Kenya is a beast no Kenyan has ever seen.” Like in my mother tongue they call it “Koko”. In Kenya going to elections is synonymous to going to World war 3. The government has deployed 180, 000 police officers, the military who are supposed to be deployed on approval by parliament has been deployed on executive directive to deal with Kenyans internally, the National youth service too. New military equipment and anti riot gear has been imported to deal with Kenyans. Ha ha haaa. The biggest question is whether there can be violence if the elections are conducted in a free, fair, just and credible manner?

A FEW PICKS ABOUT VALENTINE AND BROKEN HEARTS.

I have been following on Valentine's day heartbreaking escapades of what sacrifices guys made for the sake of love, and am left in a reality limbo. The question that rings in my mind is is if indeed love exists? A man braced himself for a two year jail term sentence for an offence which was perpetrated by his lover. Sadly the girl who stole from her father a good amount of money went ahead to incriminate her husband after they had agreed the husband would come in to stand in for his wife in prison. By the time the guy was released from incarceration his love had left him. In a separate incidence a lady boycotted their wedding, broke a relationship two days to the wedding, fled and eloped with a white German man. It happened that two days to the wedding, one of the brides maid called the groom who was far from the wedding venue, telling him the wedding was bound not to be. The groom got concerned,,travelled down south to interrogate the issue one on one. When he found the bride,...

ARE YOU READY FOR THE FUTURE: BY ANONYMOUS

This piece is not my article. It has anonymous author. In 1998, Kodak had 170,000 employees and sold 85% of all photo paper worldwide.  Within just a few years, their business model disappeared and they went bankrupt. Interestingly the inventor of digital photography in 1975  Steven Sasson worked for Kodak but Kodak ignored the new technology and in the process ignored their future!! What happened to Kodak will happen in a lot of industries in the next 10 years - and most people don't see it coming. Did you think in 1998 that 3 years later you would never take pictures on paper film again? Yet digital cameras were invented in 1975. The first ones only had 10,000 pixels, but followed Moore's law. So as with all exponential technologies, it was a disappointment for a long time, before it became way superior and got mainstream in only a few short years. It will now happen with Artificial Intelligence, health, autonomous and electric cars, education, 3D printing, agricult...

THE STRUGGLE OF THE LUO NATION.

HOW THE LUO MANTLE NEVER SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY Although, Thomas Joseph Odhiambo Mboya was never among the Kapenguria six or the prominent Mau-mau fighters, who were passionate to defend their ancestral land to the last drop of their blood; he played the most fundamental role in the clamor for Kenya’s independence. His was an epic monumental activism that must have been the invisible force which pushed the imperialists to full conviction to relinquish African land.   The Kapenguria six were arrested by the colonial government as the luminaries of the Mau mau rebellion, and were incarcerated in Kapenguria for 9 years. Among the six was Ramogi Achieng Oneko. Who was born in Tienga village Uyoma sublocation, the year 1920. Alongside other Mau-mau fighters he is credited with the invincible feat of Kenyas independence in 1963, through his critical role in their uprising. The then prime minister, Jomo Kenyatta appointed him to the portfolio of minister for information, broadcas...
