WHY PRESIDENT UHURU DOES NOT DESERVE A SECOND TERM.
Bad governance has always been a recipe for all the problems bedeviling our country. It was so heartwrenching for president Uhuru while on a state mission in Israel to accept and by his own very mouth tell the international community, Kenya is a country ruled by cartels. Did he mean the word cartels are synonymous to the executive ( The President, Deputy President and their cabinet)? Did he mean the cartels were his hands men working on his behalf?
If the president was unable to tame and curb the cartels, in fact at one time he said corruption was going on in his very office. Where is the difference? What is the point of reelecting a man who will say, "jameni mnataka nifanye nini?" When corruption jabs this country to his knees?
The day the president said he had nothing more to do to solve the problem, that was it. He threw in the towel. In fact I don't understand from where he gets the impetus and motivation to seek reelection, if not to cling onto power like Robert Mugabe until the constitution ousts him.
In my opinion. I think the cartels which have somewhat an insidious immunity from the executive are the ones coercing the president to seek another term so that they can go on doing what they know best, looting and milking the nation dry. What do you think?
Willy Mutunga too said it, a banditry nation, ruled by bandits and cartels. These were the words of the president of the supreme Court. The man who heads the right arm of government which interpreted and implements and executes the law guides our beloved nation. It was understandable for chief justice to make this informed declaration because he had to wait for the bandits to be produced in court in order for him to deal with them ruthlessly without fear or favour.
Whatever did not and will never make sense is, The head of executive powers -The President - under the principle of separation of powers, to stand in the public podium in the international arena and proclaim like a priest how Kenya is a country governed by cartels, when at the back of his mind he knew he is the chief executive. The man who swings in the seat of power. Did he mean he is the head cartel, their representative or what? Perhaps he was a ceremonial leader while all the powers he had bequethed the cartels.
How can Kenyans elect a soldier who has dropped his gun. Kenyans need a president with courage and fortitude to tackle issues head on so as to rescue this nation from the hands of cartels. Someone who can be able to reckon the back stops with him. A good manager who does not only attribute every achievement to his effort but also in accepting challenges for undoings and misgivings, is able to face the challenge and propose a a workable permanent solution.
President Uhuru has confessed by his own mouth, he cannot overcome these challenges and therefore does not qualify to be the suitable candidate who can adequately represent the views of Kenyans. The president on the other hand has managed to be a KOT president. He is always on social media doing what Nairobi socialites do best. This is why Kenyans deserve a better candidate and hence should vote another person a part from the incumbent.
