THE NARRATIVE THAT WILL CONSIGN NAIROBI SENATOR TO POLITICAL DUSTBIN

Ever since Nairobi senator, Mike Sonko handpicked Polycap Igathe from the corporate sector to be his running mate, his popularity has dwindled, albeit on account of his choice running mate. Despite this vignette narrative, that ensued, which casts aspersions on Sonko’s character especially by the elite class, his own political detractors, and competitors;  Sonko has managed to swim against the tide of this miscreant trait tag. His philanthropy and pity for the sufferers has earned him a soft spot in the hearts of the low class city dwellers.
The very first time, Sonko while on national television, hinted he was brainstorming searching for an appropriate, intelligent corporate manager as his running mate to specifically help in the running of Nairobi economy and affairs, that was the point the rain started beating him. By saying so, he was accepting and insinuating he did not possess the requisite competence for the dark heavy ginormous cloud of job hanging over his head. He portrayed a grim, appalling picture of his hands on and knowhow.
So sad how Sonko engineered the narrative now dragging him down as an unqualified, incompetent and worse more, incapable manager. Personally I don’t know how this is possible of a man who has the experience of being a member of parliament and Senator besides, having a bachelor’s degree in business management. I know he was trying to be honest, yet he ought to have made this strategic choice without disclosing it to the media and public. Then he could just rubbish the narrative as some cheap propaganda to be debacled by his government.
Whether he will pull through this one, I highly doubt. It will be an uphill task. Nevertheless, he still has a huge chance to be the governor of Nairobi, if and only if, Jubilee votes will not be scattered between himself and Pk.  The narrative of curing Sonkos inadequacy might not hold any water, since most elite middle class do not even have so much interest in voting like the poor low-class city residents. Their votes count a lot but may not significantly sway the win towards NASA camp. Although Sonko could easily sail through this narrative which decries him as an incompetent reprobate, his towering impediment to the gubernatorial seat will be his own rival Peter Kenneth. Probably some undecided voters might jump ship and opt to vote Dr. Evans Kidero.

A FEW PICKS ABOUT VALENTINE AND BROKEN HEARTS.

I have been following on Valentine's day heartbreaking escapades of what sacrifices guys made for the sake of love, and am left in a reality limbo. The question that rings in my mind is is if indeed love exists? A man braced himself for a two year jail term sentence for an offence which was perpetrated by his lover. Sadly the girl who stole from her father a good amount of money went ahead to incriminate her husband after they had agreed the husband would come in to stand in for his wife in prison. By the time the guy was released from incarceration his love had left him. In a separate incidence a lady boycotted their wedding, broke a relationship two days to the wedding, fled and eloped with a white German man. It happened that two days to the wedding, one of the brides maid called the groom who was far from the wedding venue, telling him the wedding was bound not to be. The groom got concerned,,travelled down south to interrogate the issue one on one. When he found the bride,...

The Reasons for the Rebellion of 1837 in Upper Canada

The Reasons for the Rebellion of 1837 in Upper Canada INTRODUCTION There was neither big revolution nor dependence war in the history of Canada. The Rebellion of 1837 was the first and the only one revolt with certain scale, which occupies an important position in Canada history. In The Rising in French Canada 1837 , Joseph Schull indicates that the Rebellion of 1837 is the mirror of the conflicts among developing national and political philosophy, different life styles. It’s a test for the people and leaders of the country. There were two armed uprisings of 1837 which took place in the lower and Upper Canada respectively. In the lower Canada which was ethnically heterogeneous, comprising both the French and English colonialists; the revolt was due to political ethno-exclusivity. The colonial administration treated the two factions with discrimination. It favored the English colonialists and neglected the voices of the French colonialists. However, in the Upper Canada, t...

MONEY MAKES MAN MAD

Money is the exact opposite of the Holy spirit. Money changes people. When a poor person finally gets money, the person changes like a snake that sheds it's exo-skeleton or like a caterpillar that becomes a butterfly or a moth. The moth can never remember it's Caterpillar life.  Wait! Almost everyone who was not borne in a flood of money. Some men immediately start to think, they can be sponsors or even to the extreme end, add onto themselves more wives and concubines. Some men all of a sudden fall out of love with the women who stood with them at their lowest height below poverty level.  The worse though are women. when a woman who had not known money comes to find good money in the palm of her hands. Immediately she compulsively feels, " I don't need a man. Where can I take a man. I am independent. I can pay my rent, buy any clothe I want, I can buy a car and do everything I want. No I don't need a man."  That is when a married woman stops ...
